care and cleaning instructions
You have purchased one of the finest goose down products available in the world today. In order for it to provide you with a lifetime of comfort and sleeping pleasure, we suggest that you follow these simple care and cleaning instructions.

care
Fluff your comforter or featherbed each morning, and allow to air. We recommend that all comforters and featherbeds be enclosed in a removable duvet cover. The cover can be color coordinated to your bedroom and can serve as a bedspread, blanket, and if you wish, a top sheet. Most importantly, a duvet cover will preserve and protect your comforter or featherbed so that frequent cleanings are unnecessary. Also, the regular use of a removable duvet cover is necessary to maintain the warranty of your comforter or featherbed. While down clusters have great resiliency, it is still best not to sit or lie on top of your comforter.

storage
When storing for long periods of time, your comforter should be stored in cotton or other fabric rather than plastic. This will allow the down to breathe, and your comforter will be ready to shake out and loft at the first sign of cooler weather.

comforter cleaning
If properly covered and cared for, a down comforter should almost never need cleaning. If necessary, professional laundering is recommended. Allow the comforter to dry well. A comforter may be dry cleaned by a cleaner experienced with down. Always allow a dry-cleaned comforter to air well before storing.

featherbed cleaning
Featherbeds should be spot cleaned only, using mild soap and water or a spot remover. If cleaning is necessary consult your retailer for the name of a recommended down products specialty cleaner or return to manufacturer.

limited warranty
DeWoolfson Down Luxury Collection comforters are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 10 years from date of purchase. DeWoolfson Down featherbeds are warranted for 5 years. The use of a duvet cover on comforters and featherbeds is necessary to maintain your warranty. We are not responsible, however, for damage, abuse or improper care or cleaning.

custom upholstery cushions:
We make custom upholstery cushions to fit your chair or sofa covers from your pattern or original.

infant use warning
Infants should not be permitted to sleep with or otherwise be left unattended with any comforter or featherbed due to the risk of suffocation. Down comforters can also lead to overheating, which has been shown to have a correlation to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Never place any down product, including any comforter or pillow, in an infant's crib. If the fabric tears and the down escapes it can easily block the infant's air passages and cause choking and suffocation. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that infants be placed to sleep on their backs. Always protect your family from fires caused by cigarettes. Please never smoke in bed.

Also, please remove and discard the plastic bag your new comforter, pillow, or featherbed was shipped in, as this bag could be a suffocation hazard for infants and children (breathable fabric bags excepted).
